History Of World Largest Cricket stadium
Sardar Patel Stadium was constructed in 1982 and Many test matches and One day crickets played here. but at that time there was sitting capacity is only 49000. In 1982 Govt of Gujarat Donated 100 Acres land for the development of Sardar Patel Stadium. However this Stadium prepared in nine months only. As a result Here in 1984-85 India -Australia series played and in hosting from Motera stadium in first ODI in which Australia defeated India.
In 2006 it was renovated at some level and added three new pitches. And capacity was 51000.
Motera Stadium reconstruction and Seating capacity.
In 2015 Whole stadium is totally demolished. New construction started in the year of 2015. The total estimated cost to redevelopment of Motera stadium is 700 crores. Actually plan of stadium completion was in 2019 . But The stadium completed in Feb-2020.
The first event organized in Worlds Largest cricket stadium was “Namaste Trump” . The arena was the venue of the Namaste Trump event and hosted U.S.A. President Donald Trump and Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi on twenty four Feb 2020.
If we talk about Seating capacity of Motera stadium than it is 110000. The stadium spreads across 63 acres. As a Result this is now Worlds Biggest cricket stadium. This is the result of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Broad vision.
